Travel Belize
Welcome to Belize!
Belize may be compact but it’s absolutely chock-full of stunning natural scenery! Inland, Belize is home to gorgeous national parks, wildlife sanctuaries and a vast network of cave systems, while just offshore lies the world’s second-largest barrier reef scattered with pristine sandy Cayes and three of the four coral atolls in the Caribbean.
Belize is an infinite adventure! Whether you’re ziplining through the dense jungle in the south, scuba diving the blue hole, hiking through the jungle on the lookout for jaguars, abseiling down waterfalls, swimming with sharks, crawling through ancient cave systems or tubing down dark river systems, you’re guaranteed to get the heart rate going.
Like elsewhere in Central America, Belize is littered with archaeological sites well worth exploring. The Cayo and Toldeo districts are especially renowned for their ancient Maya civilisations resulting in some very impressive ruins. Hiking to the top of these will often reward you with panoramic jungle views! You can also explore excavated tombs and descend into natural caves to witness where Maya kings performed rituals and made sacrifices.
