Travel Guatemala
Welcome to Guatemala!
Central America’s most diverse country, Guatemala is packed full of extraordinary landscapes, colourful colonial towns, traditional Mayan villages and spectacular ancient ruins.
The incredible natural beauty of Guatemala offers some seriously epic adventures. Fancy kayaking on a lake surrounded by volcanoes or zip-lining through the tropical jungle? Or why not camp on the side of a volcano before watching the sunrise from the summit? Do you want to take a boat trip through the ancient Guatemalan jungle in Rio Dulce or swing from rope swings into Lake Peten Itza?
The Mayan civilisation is still very prominent in Guatemala today. Scattered around Lake Atitlan and in the highlands are numerous Mayan villages each with their own unique personality and where traditional dress is still worn. Make sure you visit Central America’s most impressive Mayan ruins, Tikal. Situated deep in the Guatemalan jungle, keep your eyes peeled for toucans, macaws, monkeys and tarantulas!
